Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the series is based on the life of a timid, undervalued, and "unattractive" Mumbai female constable belonging to a lower-middle-class background with an ailing mother, an ungrateful younger sister and an unsettled divorce case to be taken care of back at home, goes undercover as a sex worker to burst an underworld gang, and soon discovers her own "dormant sexuality's potential".

Netflix original series Delhi Crime is based on the 2012 gang rape case that took place in the neighbourhood of Munirka, in South Delhi.
It showcases the role of Vartika Chaturvedi, DCP and other policemen in capturing the culprits despite having to handle the anger of the nation and pressure from the seniors simultaneously.

However, now she must rise up again to defeat the villainous Kilgrave who resurfaces to do more evil.
